Land of contrasts, The Three Borders area spreads around Moselle and creates a link between France, Germany and Luxembourg.
Shengen Europe was born here. In the West, the valleys of the Orne and the Fensch still remember the “gueules jaunes” (yellow mouths), the iron miners. The museum about the iron mines in Lorraine is dedicated to them and invites visitors to discover the inside of this extraordinary industrial time.
In the centre and in the East, nature is back and history left its mark on the territory: in Rodemarck, one of the most beautiful villages in France, or in the chateau in Malbrouck or even in Sierck-les-Bains, city of the Dukes of Lorraine. The meanders of the river will be appreciated, as well as the gentleness of the relief and the fresh tanginess of the white wines from the Moselle vineyards.
A universe to be tasted with eyes wide open…
