The Villa Pompei in Amnéville-les-Thermes is a temple and its architecture is half-way between antique and Attic classicism and the pictorial style of the atrium domus in Pompei and Herculanum. It is a temple dedicated to thermal baths, this art of life that cannot be separated from antique Rome. Its ionic columns stand in the forest of Coulange and can welcome a maximum of 170 privileged visitors, only with passes for two or three hours, during long opening hours. Open 7 days a week, until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
A few metres away, there is Thermapolis. The other fitness centre exists because of the hot and beneficial waters of the source Saint-Eloy. The centre is registered by the Health Ministry and celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2006. It is one of the first thermal baths resorts in France. There is also a fitness centre: in water of 35°C, you can enjoy several water activities, heated seats, massage jets, saunas, hammam and large pools to revive tired bodies.
