The exhibition, which has already travelled to Hong Kong, Dubai, Berlin, Auckland and Chicago, features approximately 40 models of machines Florentine craftsmen made from Leonardo's sketches. The general public is already familiar with some of the themes: flight (flying wings, flying machine, aerial screw, inclinometer), water (diving suit, hydraulic screw, canal dredger), warfare (tank, sickle boat, explosive shells, bomb-ketches), and mechanical engineering (gear systems, lifting devices, automatons). Other surprises include the exhibition's interactive aspect, which children and grown-ups alike will enjoy. Many of the machines are made to be handled by visitors so that they, especially children, can better understand how they work.
