The Call of the Stag at the Sainte Croix Animal Park at Rhodes

Autumn is mating season, when stags fight to intimidate rivals and win their mates in a blazing décor. The king of France's forests in love is a spellbinding sight. His powerful, unusual roar and fierce battles liven up the forest and plain.
Sainte Croix Animal Park is a unique place to observe the phenomenon. To take full advantage of it, France's most visited European wildlife park offers a full range of ways to learn about stag behaviour. Naturalists will help you pierce the secrets of the site's 60-strong deer herd.
The stags are fiercer in the morning and at night but they are accustomed to being around peaceful humans, who can see them even during the day.
